In spring, there is a strong southerly wind, which can cause excessive indoor gas concentration due to the backflow of exhaust pipes. This can easily lead to gas poisoning. However, people's habitual thinking always feels that carbon monoxide poisoning will only occur in winter, and their alertness has decreased, while the number of people who have been hit has actually increased. So to avoid the harm of carbon monoxide poisoning in spring, we must take the following precautions in production and daily life.

1. Before using the coal stove, check that the stove and chimney are intact and unobstructed, and the interface should be sealed; Regularly clean the flue, turn off the stove or activate the flue suction fan during rainy and foggy weather, south wind, no fire in the furnace, or when smoke returns; Or temporarily switch to electric heating, electric heating walls, air conditioning, etc. for heating. The best preventive measure is to turn off the coal stove before going to bed at night.

When using liquefied petroleum gas at home, if you find that the flame color is red, then you should pay attention. This is a phenomenon of incomplete flame combustion, and the normal flame color should be blue. Incomplete combustion can also produce carbon monoxide.

3. Use a gas water heater. The water heater should be separated from the bathroom, and when using a gas water heater, ventilation should be maintained in both the bathroom and the room where the water heater is located. The sauna time should not be too long, and more people should not take consecutive showers.

4. In the house, it is necessary to install a carbon monoxide alarm. When you are grilling rice in front of the coal stove, if the carbon monoxide alarm detects a carbon monoxide leak, it will immediately sound an alarm. When you take a shower in the bathroom, if there is a carbon monoxide leak, you will also be aware of it and take measures as soon as possible.
