Would this door sensor wifi alert be helpful for someone with dementia?
We believe it could be helpful.
The door sensor wifi alert would alert you if the door, where it was installed, was opened or not. You would need to have internet with Wi-Fi at the house where you install it. Each unit can have a custome name (i.e. front door, back door, garage door, etc) so if you got an alert you would know whuch door was opened. The nice door sensor wifi alert is you don’t need a hub, just download their app, add the devices and alerts. The app with the devices can be on multiple phones in case there are several of you who want to keep an eye on the alert. One flaw I see if if the door is opened and closed quickly, will it be long enough to register it was opened and then closed. I installed it on my garage door to know if it was opened, left opened or closed, so the opening and closing of it was slow enough to register the correct status.

This is the exact reason we purchased several of these for our house. My grandfather has dementia and these have been a life saver in keeping us aware of when the doors have been opened.
So this door sensor wifi alert be very helpful for someone with dementia !
