What is the process of testing a good carbon monoxide detector ?

1.Hold down your good carbon monoxide detector’s “test” button.
2.Wait until you hear two beeps, and release the button.
3.Hold down the detector’s “test” button once more.
4.Wait until you hear four beeps, and release the button.
5.If your detector successfully follows this test sequence, it is in good working condition.
If you have interconnected alarms, make sure they are all making sounds during testing. Ensure that you can hear the noise the detector makes in several rooms. You may also want to wear ear protection while testing, as the good carbon monoxide detectors can be loud.
