How many intelligent smoke detectors are you supposed to have in your house？
Answer: The National Fire Protection Association recommends homes should have smoke detectors installed inside every bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home, including the basement. So that means a 2 story, 3 bedroom house needs a minimum of five smoke detectors

Should smoke detectors be on wall or ceiling?
Answer:Smoke detectors should be installed at least 10 feet (3 meters) from a cooking appliance to minimize false alarms when cooking. Mount smoke alarms high on walls or ceilings (remember, smoke rises). Wall-mounted alarms should be installed not more than 12 inches away from the ceiling (to the top of the alarm).

How does photoelectric intelligent smoke detector work?
Answer:Photoelectric alarms work using a photoelectric sensor and a light source. As smoke enters the chamber and crosses the path of the light beam, light is scattered by the smoke particles, aiming it toward the sensor, which in turn triggers the alarm.
