Similar cases have occurred before. On January 29th last year, on a flight from Chongqing to Beijing, a passenger was smoking an electronic cigarette in the restroom, triggering a cigarette smoke alarm and causing chaos on board. After the crew reported to the police, the passengers involved were taken away by the airport police. In the end, the passenger was administratively detained for 7 days by the airport public security bureau for disrupting public transportation order.

China Civil Aviation Network reminds passengers that e-cigarettes cannot be checked in during flight and can only be carried with them. It should also be emphasized that regardless of the type of lighter, such as electronic cigarette lighter, match, metal lighter, etc., not only cannot be brought directly onto the plane, but also cannot be checked in.
